Chinese terms you will see

The app screens are in Chinese by default. This table is your map.

You can change the language with the flag buttons at the top left of the sidebar. English and Thai are available. Even so, it is useful to know the Chinese words, because staff share screenshots with each other and the school owner may keep the Chinese screens. Read the first column as the text printed on screen, the second as its plain meaning, and the third as the place you normally meet it. The list runs from pages, to lesson words, to money words, to people, to hours and pay.

仪表盘	Dashboard. Today's numbers and warnings.	Sidebar. The first page after you sign in.
日程	Schedule. The calendar of lessons.	Sidebar, daily operations.
上课记录	Lesson records. Every lesson, past and future, as a list.	Sidebar, daily operations.
体验课	Trial lesson for a new student.	Sidebar. Teachers can look but not change. Hidden from junior staff.
学生	Students. The list of everyone enrolled.	Sidebar, students and courses.
课时套餐	Lesson-hour package. The block of hours a student buys.	Sidebar, and inside a student page. Not shown to teachers.
小组课	Group class. Two or more students share the same hours.	Package type, and a tag on lessons.
私教课	Private lesson, one teacher to one student.	Package type, and a tag on lessons.
教材	Teaching materials, books and files.	Sidebar. Teachers can use it.
收款	Payments received from students.	Sidebar, finance. Not shown to teachers or junior staff.
工资	Payroll. What a teacher earns.	Sidebar. A teacher sees only their own.
给钱记录	Payout record. Money already handed over to a teacher or staff member.	Inside the payroll screens.
考勤	Attendance. Who was present in each lesson.	On lessons and in the student page.
报表	Reports. Totals by month, teacher or course.	Sidebar. Not shown to teachers or junior staff.
会计	Accounting. Income and cost bookkeeping.	Sidebar, finance. Not shown to teachers or junior staff.
签证管理	Visa management. Visa and permit dates for staff.	Sidebar, admin area.

设置	Settings for the whole system.	Sidebar. Needs a WordPress administrator account.
打卡	Mark a lesson done, so the hours count.	On a lesson in the schedule or lesson records.
签到	Check in. Record that the student arrived.	On the lesson.
完成	Completed. The finished status of a lesson.	Lesson status. Only this status uses hours.
缺席	Absent. The student did not come. A reason is needed.	Lesson status.
定金	Deposit. The first part of a payment.	Payment screens.
已收款	Received. Money actually received; pending balances and refund obligations are excluded.	Payment screens.
部分收款	Partially paid. This purchase has a receipt, but a balance is still due.	Payment status.
未收款	Unpaid. This purchase has no actual receipt yet.	Payment status.
余款	Balance due after a partial payment.	Payment screens.
净收款	Net receipts: actual receipts minus completed refunds. Currencies remain separate unless a THB reporting conversion is clearly labelled.	Payments, Reports and Dashboard.
待退款	Refund due. Money the school still needs to return; it is not an unpaid customer balance.	Payments and Accounting.
合计	Total only for the item or column named on that card. “Ledger records total” is a record count, not money.	Summary cards.
老师	Teacher. Teaches lessons and sees their own pay.	Role name, and the teacher column on lessons.
员工	Staff. Office roles, junior or senior.	Role name in the admin area.
经营者	Owner or manager of the school.	Role name in the admin area.
课时	Lesson hour. The unit that hours are counted in.	Packages, lessons and reports.
剩余课时	Remaining hours in a package.	Student page and package cards.
已上课时	Hours already used.	Student page and package cards.
校外	Off-site. The lesson was taught away from the school.	A setting on each single lesson. It affects teacher pay.
交通费	Transport cost, for example 200 THB for one trip.	Entered on each single lesson.
津贴	Allowance. Extra money added on top of the lesson rate.	Entered on each single lesson, shown in payroll.
源泉税	Withholding tax. Tax held back from a payment.	Payroll and accounting rows.

When you write to a colleague about a problem, copy the Chinese word from this table as well as the English. It removes most of the confusion, because the person looking at the screen sees the Chinese and you see the meaning.
